Research and Development efforts of a group of corporate
houses and HR professionals with our development team
to evolve a unified standards-based solution for creating
and processing resumes.
Front End
Build EPF
- This page helps the candidate to create their
resume using tabs like General, Personal Profile,
Academic Profile, Expertise, Work Experience, Projects
and Confirmation.
- EPF is valid only if the candidate fills all
the tabs. After creating a valid EPF candidate will
receive his/her EPF through mail. Candidate can
also download the completed EPF file to his computer.
Edit EPF
- Edit EPF helps the candidates to complete the
partially filled EPF or amend the completed EPF.
Candidate can upload the EPF file and enter the
PIN to do amendments in his/her EPF.
Back End
After successful login to the E-Portfolio Hub, admin
can see the following links.
Change Password, Manage Country, Manage State/City,
Manage Industry focus/Career, Manage Category, Manage
Position/Role, Manage Skills, Manage Currency, Manage
Education Level, and Manage Language.
Administration module helps the portal administrator
to manage the master datas. The administrator can
view the list of frequently used data and add these
to the master so that the newly added will appear
in the drop down list fields.
Change Password
- In this page admin can change his/her Password.
Manage Country
- Through this page admin can edit, update and
delete Country details.
Manage State/City
- Through this page admin can edit, update and
delete State/City details.
Manage Industry focus/Career
- Through this page admin can edit, update and
delete Industry Segment details.
Manage Category
- Through this page admin can edit, update and
delete Category details. It comes under Industry
Segment.
Manage Position/Role
- Through this page admin can edit, update and
delete Position/Role details. It comes under Category.
Manage Skills
- Through this page admin can edit, update and
delete Skills. It comes under Position/Role.
Manage Currency
- Through this page admin can edit, update and
delete Currency details.
Manage Education Level
- Through this page admin can edit, update and
delete Course details.
Manage Language
- Through this page admin can edit, update and
delete Languages.
Extraction & Search utility Features
Settings
- The details of the folder settings and the mail
settings are saved here
- Folder Settings: The Extract folder and Archive
folder for EPFs are selected. This folder path will
be used by the utility to download and extract EPF's
- Mail Settings: The POP Server, email Address and
password for the EPF mail account are saved here.
The utility will connect to the configured mail box
to download the EPF's.
Custom Interface
- The settings of the view panel, brief portfolio
and folder can be customized
- For view panel, we can select the grid column details
to be listed and also specify the maximum number of
character to be shown for each column
- For brief portfolio, we can specify the fields
required like Expertise Summary, Academic Summary,
Professional Experience Summary and Project Summary
- For Folder View, we can assign different view panel
and brief portfolio for each folders
Searching and sorting
- Includes Simple search, Advanced search and Quick
search
- Supports any combination of constraints per search,
including personal , general, skills, academic ,work
experience, projects
- New search rules can be created, changed, copied
and deleted
- User can sort the records by clicking the column
header.
Extract EPF
- Extracting EPFs will work as a background process.
The service will fetch the EPFs from the mail account
specified in the Settings option and will be stored
in the specified Extract folder. The extracted EPFs
will be inserted to the database and then sent to
specified Archive folder. The process will start after
5 minutes from the application has been started. After
that every 1 hour duration the process will be executed.
Data Migration
- In data migration, master tables like Country,
Language and Currency are migrated from EPF server
to Distil database. This process is running using
a Window Service. This process will do at every 24
hours duration. Users can also do custom migration
by clicking Tools'Migration option.
Backup Data
- User can backup the Distil database to a selected
folder
Restore Data
- User can restore Distil database from any backups
created through Backup Database utility.
Rate EPF
- The rating of certified skills can be done here.
User has to search Unrated skills from the EPFs by
using the Quick Search option.
Send Mail
- User can send mail to the selected candidates for
the status (templates created from Tools'Mail Template).
Strong Security
- Distil supports Advanced Encryption Standards to
encrypt license files. Also the algorithm used is
symmetric so its complexity is reduced.
Services Connected
- Distil uses both Windows and Web services
- Data Migration uses Windows Service
- User authentication, updating of extraction count
to user license etc are done by web service.
- EPF extraction is done using Background process.
